The flu vaccine is offered free on the NHS to anyone with serious long-term health conditions and those over 50.
Having the flu vaccine will reduce your risk of contracting the flu and it will also stop you from spreading the flu to other people.
Flu can be serious and each year causes thousands of people to go to hospital and hundreds of deaths. If you have underlying health conditions, or if you’re older, you’re more at risk of becoming seriously ill from flu.
We are now holding clinics for those that are at risk and over 65 years old and 50 years and over please contact the Surgery to book your appointment. For more details please follow the link

In response to the recent guidance from NHSE we wish to assure all our patients and their carers that the surgery continues to operate to COVID safe procedures to ensure the safety of all those who use the surgery.

We ask that you continue to contact the surgery by telephone in the first instance.

First appointments with GPs will continue to be carried out by telephone, if your concern cannot be resolved by telephone and we need to see you face to face then an appointment will be offered – normally on the same day.

Practices across England, us included, are offering more appointments now than before the COVID pandemic while continuing to send staff to the COVID vaccine centre in Rugby. To do this we need to manage our limited time and personnel and we are grateful for your understanding and ongoing support.

Wolston Surgery aim to improve the health, well- being and lives of those the surgery care for within a friendly, happy, safe and confidential environment. “We intend to ensure all staff have the competency and motivation to deliver the required standards of care. With patients' needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.

Named Accountable GP

All patients are allocated a named GP who is responsible for your overall care at the practice.  The named GP is shown on the counterfoil for ordering repeat prescriptions. Alternatively a member of the practice team will be able to let you know who your GP is.  Should you have a preference for your named GP, please contact the Reception who will endeavour to accommodate your request.  You are free to see any GP you choose and if you require a GP appointment urgently and your named GP is not available, please book in with another available GP.
