Due to the ongoing situation with Coronavirus, we are taking measures in line with guidance shared by NHS England and Public Health England to minimise risks associated with the virus  in order to protect both our patients and staff. Important Information about the Coronavirus(COVID-19)

We will all be better prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases, if the public follows Public Health England Advice.

The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of patients and staff which may mean your patient experience is subject to change.

The Chief Medical Offices announced on Friday 13 March that the country is moving into 'the delay' stage of the response to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The new advice issues by the Chief Medical Officer is for your household to stay at home for 14 days if anyone have either :

- a high temperature

- a new continuous cough

DO NOT go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or a hospital. You do not need to contact NHS 111 to tell them you are staying at home.

Use the NHS 111 online Coronavirus service if ;

- You feel you cannot cope with your symptoms at home

- your conditions get worse. 

- you symptoms do not get better after 7 days.

ONLY call 111 if you cannot get help online, stay at home advice can be found online.

Everyone is being reminded to follow Public Health England advice to:

• Always carry tissues with you and use them to catch your cough or sneeze. Then bin the tissue, and wash your hands, or use a sanitiser gel. 

Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after using public transport.

Use a sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands. 

Avoid close contact with people who are unwell.

The easiest and fastest way to get any kind of help is with AskmyGP.  It saves us time too, so please help us to help you. Ask MyGP is for access to a doctor, paramedic or nurse practitioner.

For nurse appointments please telephone as usual ( i.e. dressings, blood tests, blood pressures, vaccinations, injections, diabetes and asthma/COPD, family planning).

For prescription requests please use your usual ordering route or via our patient access website , to register see information below this item. This is a different online access to AskMyGP.

For everything else use AskMyGP :

  • Available between 7 am and 6 pm Monday to Friday - we respond in working hours, 8:30am to 3:00pm 

  • We can usually get back to you within 48 hours, and will see you same day if needed.

  • All our registered patients are welcome, parents and carers on behalf of patients too.

  • You can name a GP if you wish (so long as they are working today)

  • You may prefer a telephone, email or face to face response

  • You can sign up now, with no paperwork, just click the link at the top of the page.

From 3 June we moved our online services (ordering repeat medications, and viewing your medical record.) to a new service called “Patient Access”. It can be used via an app on your phone or on any computer or tablet device. Once you are registered on the site you will be able to view your medical record, test results and order your repeat medications.

What you need to do

You will need to have a new access code issued to you by the practice to register with Patient Access. To do this please pop down to the surgery with photo ID (driving licence, passport, bus pass, works ID) If photo ID is difficult please tell us and we will endeavour to help.  If you had proxy access to a relative’s record this will need to be added also, in order to do this please additionally bring a letter from your relative to confirm.
