Dr Pantazis, Dr Lawton and Ann Steele give a warm welcome to our patients and visitors. Thank you for looking at our website which we hope will provide you with an overview of the services we offer.  Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing

specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues. The technology also means you can now do a lot of things from the comfort of your home such as order a repeat prescription or booking an appointment.

There is wheelchair access to the health Centre and the WC has been adapted for physically disabled patients.

Friends and Family Test 

The NHS Friends and Family Test (FFT) was created to help service providers and commissioners understand whether patients are happy with the service provided, or where improvements are needed. It's a quick and anonymous way to give your views after receiving NHS care or treatment.

Since the FFT was launched in 2013, millions of patients have submitted feedback. It's used by most NHS services, including community care, hospitals, mental health services, maternity services, GP and dental practices, emergency care, and patient transport.

Communication

Here at The Lawns we endeavour to assess the needs of all patients and support them as much as possible. We are committed to making information to patients as easily accessible.

Just some of the things we have available are-

  • Large print labels for medication
  • Brail on medication boxes
  • Guide dogs and support dogs welcome in the practice 
  • Coloured flowers on all clinic rooms to help with identifying them
  • Connections with local support groups
  • Hearing loops both at reception and dispensary. These can also be made available in clinicians rooms
  • Translator service available
  • Vibrating buzzers to let you know the clinician is ready for you go in and a board in the waiting room where your name shows up
  • Longer appointment times available 
  • Communication needs section on our registration form
  • Leaflets and posters are available in clear, easy and large font

Immigration status or nationality don’t matter -reception won’t ask for immigration documents and won’t share your information with the Home Office unless serious crime is involved.

Are You a Carer?

If you are please let us know - we may be able to help you.

We run a Carer's Meeting on the second Thursday of each month at 2 pm. We generally have an interesting speaker followed by an informal chat with other carers. Please ask reception for more details.
