Please order your medication at least 7 days before you are due to run out.
We cannot guarantee that prescriptions will be ready on time if they are not ordered at least 2 days before they are due.

for the Covid and Flu Clinics only
Please note we are unable to deal with any normal surgery queries
on Thursday afternoons and Saturday Mornings.

I would like to commend and thank you for the very speedy roll out of the COVID vaccine to the over 80s and extremely clinically vulnerable patients at your practice and beyond.
My mother who falls into both these categories has had both her jabs which is a great relief for her and her family. Although we will still be observing all the lockdown restrictions it is very reassuring that my mum has now been vaccinated.
Well done to all the staff who have worked extremely hard to ensure the roll out in your catchment area has been and continues to be successful.

"I would like to say a great big “thank you” and tell you how impressed I am with how the surgery are coping and caring for it’s patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.
I came for my vaccination yesterday and was blown away at how efficient and effective the system in place for administering the vaccinations actually is - I don’t know what I was expecting but was very impressed with what I encountered.
I am also extremely grateful for and impressed with the unerring ongoing support and care I continue to receive from the whole team during these very difficult times we find ourselves in.

Our Phone lines are open from 8am and we operate primarily on a same day booking basis, so please phone early should you require a GP appointment.
We can pre-book GP appts for those who work and these are generally booked up to 2 weeks in advance.
ALL Nurses appointments are pre-booked so you do not need to phone on the day for a nurse appointment.
We welcome all new and returning patients and look forward to having you join our practice.

CORONAVIRUS SERVICE UPDATE
We are very sorry that we have limited capacity to see patients at the moment. The available appointments reach capacity very quickly every day which is a combination of heavy demand, staff sickness/self-isolation and coronavirus pressures. Coronavirus affects GP surgeries in multiple ways.
Firstly, there are sick patients who may have the virus who we need to assess.
Secondly, because other patients may still be infected, we need to wear PPE and perform cleaning before and after patients. The process of seeing someone face-to-face takes is taking twice as long as it did before the pandemic.
Thirdly, because routine hospital services are heavily restricted and many referrals are being rejected or delayed, we are managing much more ourselves in the community.
This is very time consuming, because a lot of this work is testing the limits of our expertise; we are therefore spending more time liaising with specialists at the Hospital about the best course of action for these affected Patients.
The number of coronavirus cases in Sheffield and the number of patients in Sheffield Hospitals are both increasing rapidly. As the hospital postpones and restricts more routine services, GP surgeries will be impacted further. We really want you all to know that we are trying our best to provide the best care we can over the winter. We are increasing our workforce to cope with increasing call volumes and used more locum doctors to bolster the service than ever before, but that itself is not financially sustainable, GP surgeries are funded completely differently to Hospitals.
We can only do so much and we are not immune from illness, nor are we exempt from rules for self-isolation or childcare responsibilities when our children have to self-isolate.
Please be aware that we will most likely have these capacity issues as we go further and further into the winter months; the pressure on all NHS systems are made worse by the Coronavirus, and sadly things are going to get worse before they get better. It's a tough time for everyone, but particularly for the most vulnerable in society. We will continue to do our best.

Once registered, patients and healthcare professionals work together to ensure the most appropriate care is provided. This partnership philosophy extends even further and our active patient group exists to make sure that patient needs and the practice offering are always heading in the same direction.
Management and Review of Medicines
The Practice may conduct Medicines Management Reviews of medications prescribed to our Patients. This service performs a review of prescribed medications to ensure that patients receive the most appropriate, up to date and cost effective treatments. This service may be provided directly by the Practice or by members of the Sheffield CCG Medicines Management Team or by Primary Care Sheffield Medicines Management Team.
