Welcome to MD Family Practice at Werneth Primary Care Centre

We are a family practice providing high quality personal primary care for an increasing number of patients in the Oldham area. We pride ourselves on offering a professional and efficient service to our patients and continuously strive to improve our services.

We have a purpose built premises which has suitable access for disabled patients.

Important Notice - Change of Practice Name

Please note we have changed our practice name from Danson Family Practice to MD Family Practice. All other services within the practice will remain unchanged and we are running as usual.

Extended Access Service 

Local GP Practices are working together to continue to provide additional appointments for patients in the evenings and on Saturdays.

Appointments are available Monday – Friday 6:30 – 9.00pm and Saturday 9.00-5.00pm. The service is provided at South Chadderton Health Centre, Eaves Lane, Chadderton, OL9 8RG.

Complaints

We make every effort to give the best service possible to everyone who attends our practice.

However, we are aware that things can go wrong resulting in a patient feeling that they have a genuine cause for complaint. If this is so, we would wish for the matter to be settled as quickly, and as amicably, as possible.

To pursue a complaint please contact the practice manager who will deal with your concerns appropriately. Further written information is available regarding the complaints procedure from reception.

Did Not Attend (DNA) Policy 

The practice will not be able to help all our patients if we have to lose a lot of time with missed appointments from the patients. If patients Do Not Attend an appointment at the practice without reason or warning they will initially receive a first warning letter or text message. If they DNA again a 2^nd letter will be issued and will result in removal from the practice register. Parents get the warning letter for dependant children. Please help us to reduce the DNA's. 

GP Practices are required to inform patients that they have a named GP who is responsible for their overall care at the practice, please contact the practice if you wish to know who this is or if you have a preference and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
