9th February 2024 If you have been contacted by the NHS saying you/your child may not be up to date with their MMR vaccinations but you think they are, please be assured, we are aware that data held nationally may differ from what is held locally and NHS England continues to work with NHS services delivering vaccinations to ensure that patient records are as up to date as possible. If you are satisfied that you/your child is up to date for MMR vaccination and other childhood vaccination and the general practice are satisfied that the practice record is complete, then no further action is necessary.

16th Nov 2023 -  over the next week or so you may receive a text message asking you to take part in the annual NHS survey - this is a bona fide message - the answers that patients give are used by the NHS to improve the patient experience where possible - thanks.

29th August 2023 - WE ARE CURRENTLY HAVING ISSUES WITH OUR PHONE SYSTEM - PLEASE BEAR WITH US AND WE WILL GET IT SORTED OUT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE - THANK YOU.

20th December 2022 - The phone lines are open for urgent appointments at 8:30 and again at 14:30. The lines are closed between 13:00 and 14:30.

At 8:30 and 14:30 the lines become very busy. If your enquiry is of a less urgent nature you may wish to try after 11:00 or 16:30.

Alternatively the online service KLINIK can be accessed at the top of this page. KLINIK is a straightforward system to use and incoming queries are viewed on a regular basis. Using this system will save the frustration of hanging on the telephone. It can be used for seeking advice on new or existing conditions. It can also be used for ordering and querying repeat prescriptions. KLINIK can be accessed using a Smart Phone.

Other avenues available for patient use are either the 111 service or the NHS self care web page - www.nhs.uk/conditions/ - Additionally your local pharmacist is available for advice and guidance on more minor ailments. Of course major medical care should be accessed by phoning 999.

17th November 2022 - we have received a request from the residents of Nickson Court for patients NOT to park in the private car parking spaces outside of the Nickson Court building. There is a sign post stating that this is a private parking facility for residents only. Please respect their wishes - thank you.

18th October 2022 - Do you want to find groups and support in the community that might improve your health and wellbeing? You can find lots of local support from charities to social groups in the Arc Bucks PCN directory - Please click on www.arcbuckspcn.org and then click on directory (highlighted blue in the top right hand corner) for more information.

12th September 2022 - Following yesterday's announcement the surgery will be closed next Monday 19th September. We will re-open the following day as usual.

27th June 2022: Highfield is one of six practices that make up Arc Bucks Primary Care Network ('PCN') - www.arcbuckspcn.org - from October 1st 2022 all PCNs have been asked to provide additional services outside of normal practice opening hours. Please could you complete this short survey to help us understand where, when and what type of appointments patients would like to have available during these additional hours. This survey is anonymous and should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete. Thank you for your time - https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/LGC2T9X. The survey will remain open until midnight on Friday 1st July.

28th April - Highfield Surgery is now on Facebook - please search Highfield Surgery Doctor for access.

28th April 2022 - There appear to be texts going around purporting to be from Highfield Surgery/NHS stating that the patient has been in close contact with the Omicron Variant - THESE HAVE NOT COME FROM THE SURGERY - PLEASE DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK.
