Booking Your Travel Vaccinations at the Medical Centre
We advise you book a travel consultation at least 8 weeks in advance to ensure you receive the full course of all your required immunisations.
If you request a consultation at short notice, we cannot guarantee you an appointment and you may be asked to seek advice privately.
Not all vaccinations are covered under the NHS and may incur a cost. If you require a course of vaccinations, you will be asked to pay for the full course during your initial consultation. We accept payment by cash, cheque and debit cards.
Due to high demand for travel appointments during the summer term we will be unable to offer travel appointments/advice to patients who are not registered at the Medical Centre and you will not be able to register for this purpose only.
If you are not fully registered at the Medical Centre and still require an appointment, you could contact your home/registered GP who should be able to offer you an appointment.
Alternatively, you can go online to find the nearest private travel clinic. Listed below are two travel clinics in the area:

You can go on the following websites for more information on the areas you will be travelling to, general travel health advice and information on any vaccinations you may require for each area:
· Fit for Travel - Scottish NHS public travel site for general advice on all aspects of travel and country specific information, including malaria maps
· NaTHNaC - National Travel Health Network and Centre England based, with similar information to above
· NHS Choices – look at travel health in the ‘A-Z’ section and also travel health in the ‘Live Well’ section (these are both different). Excellent general website also.
