Clinics & Services
Family Planning:
These clinics are aimed at pregnancy planning as well as a wide range of contraceptive services. Contraceptive services include advice regarding condoms, contraceptive pills and long acting reversible methods of contraception such as injections. For the initiation of any form of contraception we ask you to see either Dr Johnson or Dr O'Brien, and thereafter you can see Sister Senior.
For emergency contraception, please indicate to the reception staff that you require an urgent appointment.
Cervical Smears:
Smears are usually done by our Nursing Team. You will receive a reminder to make your appointment. You will be asked to arrange your appointment mid menstrual cycle.
Asthma/Respiratory Care:
This area is led by the Nursing team. You will be asked to attend annually for a medication and asthma review.

Minor Surgery:
Due to supply issues of liquid nitrogen, we are no longer able to provide a cryotherapy service. See our news page.
Practice Pharmacist:
We have a pharmacist working every day to see patients for their annual medication reviews and medication advice/queries.
Appointments can be made by contacting reception. This saves GP time, freeing up more appointments for patients.
Influenza And Pneumococcal:
Every flu season (September to January), we offer the flu jab patients of all ages with asthma, diabetes, heart disease, carers and the over 65s. It is highly recommended that these groups have the jab. Appointments are available from September onwards.
The pneumococcal injection is recommended for patients over 65 and at risk groups. This is a one off injection giving lifetime protection. Please enquire at reception if you think you are eligible.
Other Services:
Our Nursing Team/Health Care Assistant also offer several other services such as dressings, asthma and COPD reviews, travel immunisation/advice and much more.
