Dr Girish Patel qualified as a doctor in 1992 from Manchester Medical School and became a GP in 1996. In 1997, he became a full time partner at The Sides Medical Centre. In 2000 Dr Patel joined Salford and Trafford Local Medical Committee and joined the Executive in 1999 He is now the Treasurer and has been a GP appraiser since 2009.
Dr Patel joined Salford CCG in November 2011, and is the Chair of the long term conditions and end of life commissioning strategy group as well as Neighbourhood lead for Little Hulton & Walkden.
