Rushcliffe Enhanced Access Service

As a Rushcliffe patient you can access routine appointments in the evenings and at weekends. These appointments are best suited for things that will not need ongoing review by your usual practice.

You can book through your surgery during opening hours, for appointments between 6.30pm and 8pm in the evening on weekdays and between 8.30am and 5.00pm at weekends. If you request one of these appointments, which are outside of usual working hours you will be offered a slot with a Rushcliffe GP, Nurse, Healthcare Assistant or First Contact Physiotherapist at one of four locations across the borough.The location will depend on the day of your appointment.

• East Leake Health Centre

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL EXTENDED HOURS APPOINTMENTS ARE PREBOOKABLE ONLY BY CONTACTING YOUR OWN GP PRACTICE.THERE IS NO WALK IN SERVICE OFFERED.

Test Results

Test results can be given over the telephone but for reasons of confidentiality, we must insist that you phone yourself for your result. Routine blood tests usually take a few days to be processed by the laboratory and for the results to be returned to us. Other blood tests, X-rays and ultrasound reports can take longer.

All the results are looked at by the doctors and a comment or message is attached to each. If a result is normal or as anticipated then the message will say so. Other messages may be to keep an appointment as planned or if there are problems then the doctor or receptionist will contact you. For that reason, make sure your contact details are up-to-date.

The surgery is often busy early in the morning so if possible try to ring between 14:00 and 18:00.
