Nurse Practitioners

A qualified and registered Prescribing Nurse Practitioner.  She conducts an Urgent Care clinic every morning, Monday to Friday, dealing with acute illnesses (ie new medical problems that have been going on for less than 2 weeks) for example:

Asthma flare up, COPD flare up, Chest infections, Coughs, Colds, Ear infections, Hay fever, Sinusitis, Sore throat, Urinary tract infections, skin issues (rash; cellulitis; infections; insect bites).

She also carries out general nursing clinics in the afternoons along with a Baby clinic on a Tuesday afternoon and a Respiratory clinic on a Friday afternoon.

Our Health Care Assistant (HCA) is qualified to take blood for analysis including INR; blood pressure readings; dressings; suture removal; NHS Health Checks; onward referral for weight management and smoking cessation. You can make an appointment via the Receptionist.
