For many years we have been a training practice. We undertake the postgraduate training of young doctors when they have completed a minimum of three years working in a hospital after qualifying and are then required to undertake a year of specialised GP training before becoming principals in their own right.

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
Also attached to the practice and part of our multidisciplinary team are our Community Nursing Team, made up of health visitors, midwives and district nurses.
Please note: District nurses only visit housebound patients. A description of the role of a GP, district nurse, health visitor and midwife is available from reception.
