News:

Out of Hours
Calls out-of-hours should be restricted to medical problems that cannot wait until normal office hours. Please telephone 0345 6059999. Calls are answered by a trained nurse. You may be asked to attend the GP centre at Airedale Hospital to see a GP. Home visits can be done for housebound patients, even out of hours.
If you have had an accident or have an emergency, please attend A&E. Patients with less severe problems may have a long wait and would be better calling the number above.

Weight Watchers Vouchers
We can supply free vouchers for 12 weeks for eligible patients. Please see under "clinics and services".

Extended Hours
We now offer evening appointments on Monday and Tuesday evenings for those working away or who find it difficult to attend during the day. These are pre-bookable appointments.

Cancelling your Appointment
If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone the surgery in good time.

I have been a GP for 5 years and joined the team at Holycroft four years ago. I am interested in women's health and am currently developing extra skills in diabetes. I am married with 3 children. I was born in Manchester and graduated from Nottingham University Medical School in 1998. I trained as a GP in East Yorkshire and worked in New Zealand before joining the Practice in 2004. I am a GP Trainer and have special interests in respiratory medicine and the use of IT in healthcare. I am married with two children. Dr Paul J Bolton (m)Dr Paul J Bolton (m)
MB ChB DRCOG MRCGP
(University of Leicester 2000)

I qualified from medical school in Leicester in 2000, then spent 18 months working in Australia in various specialties. I qualified as a GP in 2006 and have worked at several practices in the local area before settling at Holycroft as a partner from October 2008.
I enjoy teaching and have recently embarked on becoming a GP trainer. Politically, I am involved with the Royal College of General Practitioners and am a Board Member for the Yorkshire Faculty.
My current project at home is trying to convert a wild tangle of land into some sort of garden and a vegetable patch. My wife and I have one young child at present who keeps us free from boredom in any spare time that might come our way!

Dr John Parry (m)Dr John Parry (m)
MA MB BChir DRCOG MRCGP
(University of Cambridge 1980)

I have been a partner at Holycroft since 1985. Over the years I have become increasingly involved with medical matters outside the practice, which has reduced the amount of time I have been available to patients. From April this year (2009) this reduces even further to just one surgery a week, as I take up more work with the medical computing company I have worked with for many years, as their clinical director, while continuing for the moment to Chair the Airedale and Wharfedale Practice Based Commissioning group, working as the clinical lead on behalf of the PCT.
I find all of family care interesting, and profess no expert knowledge, but a lot of experience. I enjoy helping people with skin complaints as well as looking after patients with more complex problems.
I am married with four grown up children and three grandchildren. My wife is a Methodist Minister.
Dr Penny Sinclair (f)Dr Penny Sinclair (f)
MB ChB DRCOG MRCGP DFP DCH
(University of Southampton 1984)
I graduated from Southampton University in 1984 and then trained as a GP in Bradford, London and Australia. I moved to Yorkshire 20 years ago and have worked as a GP but also in student health, child health, family planning and sexual health. I have worked at Holycroft since 2003 and enjoy the variety of the work at our practice. Juggling my job with family, a fell running husband and three active children doesn't leave much spare time but I do manage to sqeeze in some tennis, cycling and reading (not just prescriptions!)
Dr Anneke Swager (f)Dr Anneke Swager (f)
Artsexamen DFFP
(University of Leiden 1984)
I was born in The Netherlands and did my medical training at Leiden University. After that I worked as a GP for several years before we moved to the UK in 1997. Since then I worked in Bingley for 5 years and after that at several different practices across the Airedale Area. I joined Holycroft Surgery in February 2006. My special interests are Contraception and Sexual Health and I also work at the CASH clinic in Keighley Health Centre.
I am married with 2 teenage sons and in my free time I run and look after my goats, chickens, cats, dog and my vegetable patch.
