We are improving our phone system.  In order to do this there may be some disruption to the lines on Wednesday 21st August when we will be switched over to our new provider.  This will be kept to a minimum.

We hope you see an improvement with the introduction of a call queuing system.

For technical reasons we have had to make some changes to our website so the first time you request repeat prescriptions unfortunately you will have to re-type in all your medication.

Repeat Prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions for medicines may be supplied if your doctor agrees. You should allow 4 working days for these to be processed.

  • You may request them by using the computer slip or by written request via the box in reception.
  • You can order your repeat prescription online using our secure form via the link at the top of this page
  • Primarily for the Housebound & Elderly a "Repeat Prescription Phone line" is open daily between 11.00am to 12.00pm midday and 3pm to 4pm. Please phone the main practice number on 0131 440 2043 selecting option 2.
  • Repeats can be requested by post and fax (0131 440 7825)

All GP practices prefer written requests because they are safer.

If you wish us to send your prescription to you, please let us have a stamped addressed envelope.

Most of the local chemists arrange to collect prescriptions so that you can collect your medication directly from them. Please ask reception and your chemist about this and remember it will take at least 4 working days.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
