Once you and your clinician have agreed which medication you can obtain through the repeat prescribing system you can do this by ordering over the counter at the surgery, or in writing.
Please use the repeat tear-off strip from the prescription. Ticking off the items you require and either post in or hand to our reception staff.
If you cannot use the repeat tear-off slip please write down your name, address and date of birth along with the name of the medication you require and post or hand in to the surgery.
You can also request a repeat prescription online if you are registered for online services. Online requests for repeat medications can only be made if you still have issues available for that particular medication. You will still need to contact the surgery for reauthorisation if you have received the maximum number of issues. Please ask one of our reception team about registering if you would like to receive this service.
If we receive your repeat prescription request by midday, your prescription will be ready for collection 2 working days later after midday.
In order to provide you with the best possible standard of care we will review your medication regularly as well as arranging any regular tests needed.
Some local pharmacies will arrange to collect, dispense and deliver your prescriptions to you. Please ask for the name of local pharmacies that provide this service.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
