Repeat Prescriptions
Requests for repeat prescriptions must be in writing and 72 hours’ notice must be given.
We accept requests by post or online via the link at the top of this page. New users to the online system are required to complete a simple registration.
We do not accept phone requests for prescriptions.
If you would like your prescriptions sent to one of the local pharmacies please let us know.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Patient Information on Prescription Request
The following advice is given to patients regarding repeat prescriptions; this is also included in the practice leaflet and is displayed on posters in the waiting areas.
Please allow 48 Hours for the GP surgery to action your prescription. If collecting medication from the Pharmacy they then have another 24 hours to prepare the medication for your collection.
Always order medicines 5 days before you run out.(with the exception of Controlled Drugs, these can only be 3 days before you run out)
Use the list on the right side of your prescription to order repeats; this can be dropped into the box in Reception.
Please do not try to order medicines over the phone, as we are unable to take prescriptions requests over the phone.
Please do not order medicines before they are due.
Please do not send children to collect medicines unless you have signed a consent form.
If you are asked to see a nurse or a doctor before your next prescription, please do so, before you order medication again.
