We hope to use our surgery website as a way of presenting all our patients with an up to date resource for all information relating to our practice. We will keep it current with any news, developments & details that are relevant to the practice & our patients.

As well as a source of information about our Practice, the staff & the services we provide, we hope you use the website as a useful resource with links to other reliable websites for health related information. If there is topical health information we will also add this to the website.

The practice does carry out research from time to time.  Any such research will have ethical approval and patients will be given full information about any study they are asked to participate in. All resultant information will be kept strictly confidential.  Should a patient decline to participate in research, for whatever reason, it will not affect in any way the care given by the practice. We are fortunate to have a Nurse Practitioner, Stephanie Hesse,  This nurse will work with the duty doctor to meet patients needs for same day care.  Stephanie is a specialist nurse, trained in the management of acute (or sudden onset) illness, and will be able to prescribe for many conditions herself.  She has many years experience offering this type of care.   Patients seeking same day appointments may be routed to the Nurse Practitioner in the first instance, but will be passed on for a doctor’s opinion if the condition is complex or ongoing. Reception staff will be given training so that they are able to route patients appropriately, and we would ask our patients to assist the receptionists by answering any questions asked.

As a practice we adhere to  the Freedom of information Act and also the Data Protection Act. This means that we try to be open about our services, whilst protecting all personal and patient identifiable information. All staff sign and agree to always adhere to a confidentiality agreement.
