SEASONAL FLU VACCINE REMINDER - ARE YOU AT RISK?
If so, you may be entitled to a free annual vaccination.
Patients particularly at risk include:
* over 65s
* chronic heart or pulmonary disease
* asthma or diabetes
* liver or kidney disease
weakened immune systems.
If you have not yet had your vaccination this year, please ask at reception
H1N1 "Swine" Flu Vaccinations
We now have stocks of the H1N1 vaccine and are giving it to people most at risk (as per Dept of Health guidelines).
It usually is 1 jab (2 jabs separated by 3 weeks if immunosuppressed).
It will be available to all the above patient groups except in the over 65's where it is recommended only if you have other health problems (eg heart disease).
In addition it is advised it you pregnant as experience has shown that this presents a significant risk of complications with H1N1.
We held a H1N1 vaccination sessions on 12 December 2009 & 16 January 2010 and all qualifying patients were invited to attend.

As many of our patients will know, our practice has been established in Sutton-in-Ashfield for over 50 years. We were previously at the Oates Hill location from 1986 and moved to our present location at the Ashfield Park Estate in August 2001. The doctors provide high quality family medicine and are assisted by efficient and friendly staff. We offer a wide range of services and clinics and are always looking at ways to extend these.
