Book appointments by telephone or online 24 hours a day!

You can now book a doctor's appointment when the surgery is closed!  To use the internet, (SystmOnline) you need to get a username and password from our reception.  Please bring photo ID (driving licence or passport) and we will issue you with your logon details.  You will then be able to book, cancel or check your doctor's appointment or cancel or check any appointment.

Alternatively, you can use our new automated telephone booking service from any touch tone telephone.  You can use this service to book, check or cancel any doctor's appointment or to check or cancel any appointment.  You don't need to register to use the automated telephone service, but you will need to provide an up to date telephone number.

These services aren't available for our nurses' appointments as these require more guidance when booking from our receptionists.

You can, of course, still choose to speak direct to a receptionist if you prefer.  Just select option 2 on the telephone.

New way of ordering repeat prescriptions

If you click on the link at the bottom of this page to order prescriptions, it will direct you to a new service, SystmOnline, which is linked directly to your clinical record.  To use SystmOnline, you will need to bring some valid photo ID (passport or driving licence) to reception where you will be given a logon and password.  Once you have this, you will also be able to book or cancel appointments using SystmOnline.  A letter will shortly be sent to patients explaining these changes.

New opening hours & appointments system

We are now open from 0800hrs and offering GP and blood test appointments from that time.  We are also now offering late night GP appointments on Monday and Tuesday evenings for those patients who can't get here during normal opening hours.  These will be available to book up to four weeks in advance.  As we have many more appointments to book in advance, we have ended our sit and wait surgery.  People who consider that they need to see a doctor urgently will be assessed by the duty doctor by telephone to see how quickly they need an appointment.  Any patients who the doctors consider need to be seen will be seen that day, following telephone assessment.  This system is known as triage and is commonly used in A&E and doctors' surgeries. 

These changes are in response to a survey we carried out in the summer to see what time of day our patients would most prefer an appointment.  We have carefully matched doctor availability to the times patients told us they want appointments, so we really hope you find it easier to get a routine appointment at a time that suits you.
