Patient Voices Group (PVG)
The PVG was established in 2011 and has 12 elected board members, an elected Chair and an "e-membership" of patients from across Pennine Lancashire. We are always happy to welcome new members and anyone can become a member of the Patient Voices Group. (Details on how to join can be found below)
All members of the PVG are unpaid Volunteers, each focused on becoming a critical friend to East Lancashire Medical Services (ELMS) and to all those agencies who provide Health services locally. We try to capture and champion the views of Patients and signpost them to the most appropriate service. The PVG Board meets bi-monthly and regularly carries out Patient Engagement, scrutinises Health Service Delivery and attends meetings on behalf of the 540,000 patients they represent.
Our Chair Russ McLean and members of the PVG have ignored their own personal and individual health problems and continue to work tirelessly as team, unafraid of challenging the status quo - acting as a Critical Friend not only to ELMS Management, Staff and Patients - but to all those who work in the Health economy, including Clinical Commissioning Groups, Healthwatch and Hospital Trusts.
Would you be interested in making a real difference to Health Care services both locally and Nationally? Would you be willing to let us contact you, occasionally, by phone, text or email, to seek YOUR views on those who provide our HealthCare? Have you experiences you would like to share with us? Then please get in touch. We would love to hear from you.
If you are interested in becoming an "e-member" of the PVG and contribute to our Agenda, OR registering your interest to serve on the PVG Board and attend our meetings, then please contact us for further information. There are many ways for you to contact us. Thank you for your interest.
