Patient Grouppatient survey

Hightown Surgery has had a virtual patient reference group for 3 years. The group did not meet up in person but communicated by email. The aim of the group was to ensure that patients are involved in decisions about the range and quality of services provided by the Surgery.

In 2014 the Practice invited some members from the Patient Reference Group to join them in the formation of a Patient Participation Group (PPG), as a way to engage patient support and involvement in the development of the Practice.

The Practice is represented on the PPG and the Group meet several times a year. The broad aims are to provide a patient perspetive on a range of issues and suggest ways in which we can encourage patients to be more aware of thier onw healthcare role.
