Patients wishing to see a particular doctor/nurse should inform reception of their preference. Please let the receptionist know the reason for your nurse appointment so that you can be booked with a nurse who is qualified to deal with your request.
We are presently trialling a new telephone triage system for appointments.
You will be asked by reception staff for details of your illness/condition and she will ask if it a new or ongoing health issue and which GP you prefer.
If the GP is not available that day, you will be offered a day for the GP to ring you back or you can speak to someone else.
The information will be passed to a GP who will ring you and decide with you over the phone if you need to be seen and offer you an appointment.
You must leave a working and contactable number that will be answered as clinical staff will only ring once.
Nurse and Healthcare assistant appointments can be booked in the usual way.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
