Children’s Burn Camp and Clubs

Burn Camps and Clubs aim to provide activities designed to help children face the challenges they encounter following a burn injury in an atmosphere of fun support and rehabilitation. Activities are geared to allow children to extend themselves and experience success, build confidence, enhance self-esteem, develop new skills and involve having lots of fun!

Patient Experience Surveys

MB ODN  has undertaken patient surveys using hand held electronic devices to obtain feedback from burn injured patients, their families and/or carers. The surveys have been developed and revised since 2010 and continue to provide information on patient experience in respect of their care.

Surveys have been undertaken in adult and paediatric dressing clinics, therapy and outreach services. MB ODN patient surveys comply with current best practice in order to engage with service users. The surveys are user friendly and take just 5 minutes to complete.

It is planned to complete further surveys in 2015 and  develop in-patient surveys across the services.  

As part of Patient and Public Involvement all services Hospital Trusts will collect and publish patient feedback.
