A course aimed at team leaders, nurse managers, reception managers, office managers who are new to leadership and those who have experience but would like to gain more skills.
Content includes the following topics:

Management vs Leadership
Situational leadership and other leadership theories
Why and how teams are formed
How to build an effective team
Managing pressure and emotions (including a bit on time management)
Non-verbal communication, body language and making a great first impression

Dealing with difficult conversations
How to hold effective meetings

Tees Dr Janice Kibirige Memorial CASH Conference

It is a free conference, presentations in the morning, lunch is provided then workshops in the afternoon. More information will be coming out over the summer.
The Tees CASH conference provides an opportunity for service providers, commissioners and other stakeholders who contribute to promoting, protecting and improving the sexual health of the local population to meet to:
- improve awareness and understanding of local services and pathways
- share information on the latest policy, evidence and guidance
- discuss local and national issues relating to the improvement of sexual health
- identify and showcase best practice
- develop professional support networks
Who should attend? If you have a role as a health or social care professional who’s work directly or indirectly contributes to the improvement or protection of sexual health on Teesside, for example young people’s worker, school nurse, social worker, nurse, outreach worker etc. or a commissioner of provider services.
