Prof Allyson Pollock Lecture - Is US Style Healthcare the Future for England?

A free, public meeting which is open to all who care about health care provision and the future of our NHS.

Professor Allyson Pollock will outline the current move to accountable care systems / organisations in the UK. Guest speakers for this public meeting are Professor David Himmelstein and Professor Steffie Woolhandler.

Tees Dr Janice Kibirige Memorial CASH Conference

Date: Friday 24 November 2017

Venue: Acklam Green Centre, Stainsby Road, Middlesbrough, TS5 4JS

It is a free conference, presentations in the morning, lunch is provided then workshops in the afternoon. More information will be coming out over the summer.

The Tees CASH conference provides an opportunity for service providers, commissioners and other stakeholders who contribute to promoting, protecting and improving the sexual health of the local population to meet to:

  • improve awareness and understanding of local services and pathways
  • share information on the latest policy, evidence and guidance
  • discuss local and national issues relating to the improvement of sexual health
  • identify and showcase best practice
  • develop professional support networks

CLMC Data Sharing Event, 6 December 2017

Date: Wednesday 6 December 2017

Venue: Middlesbrough Football Club

This event is open to GPs and Practice Managers, CCGs and Federations. The event will feature a presentation from the GMC covering their new confidentiality guidance. Also speakers to cover the various data sharing initiatives in the North East.
