Clinics & Services
The practice provides complete care during pregnancy, birth and after delivery in co-operation with our community midwife and Princess Anne Wing of the Royal United Hospital. Please make an appointment with your doctor as soon as you think you are pregnant.
We offer two clinics per week with the nurse to carry out the child health scheduled immunisations. Parents will receive a letter inviting them to bring their child, to a clinic when their child's immunisations are due.
It is recommended that women between the ages of 25-50 have a smear every 3 years and patients between the ages of 50-65 every 5 years; this simple test can detect easily treatable changes in the neck of the womb to prevent cancer developing. Invitations are sent to all patients in these groups who are then notified by letter of the result (this may take several weeks).
Doctors and Practice Nurses provide a comprehensive family planning service.
We have Doctors trained in the fitting and removal of contraceptive coils and implants (for more information on this, please arrange a telephone consultation with either Dr S J Cooper, Dr D Calandrini or Dr K Boyd).
