When We Are Closed

Should you become unwell outwith normal surgery hours and your illness cannot wait until you are able to contact your own doctor, please telephone 111

Your call will automatically be transferred to NHS24 where a trained call handler will take your details and transfer you to a nurse, who will deal with your problem.

You may have to travel to the emergency centre to see the doctor, or be asked to speak with a doctor who will give advice over the telephone. If required, a house visit will be carried out by a doctor.

Your own doctor will be informed about your contact with this emergency service and advised of any treatment given.

Please contact NHS 24 on 111 at weekends or after 18:00 weekdays. Please note this service is for emergencies only.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
