We are aware that some patients continue to experience problems with online access. Help can be found at which includes guides and video tutorials.

Online Services

In co-operation with EMIS, our computer system supplier, we are able to provide a service that enables you to access your healthcare online. This service is called Patient Access and is available via the links at the bottom of the home page. It can also be accessed via the icon below and from the Appointments and Prescriptions sections of this website.

Once patients have created an account they will be able to use the online services:Patient_Access_Logo

  • To book and cancel appointments
  • To order repeat medication (please allow 48 hours for processing)
  • To update personal information - i.e. address, telephone numbers, email address
  • To view immunisation history, allergies and current medication


How to register for OnlineAccess

If you would like to take advantage of this facility, please call into the Surgery and visit our Reception team.  Please bring with you photographic ID and we can then issue you your personal log-in details.

Guidance on how to use the Patient Access website

On accessing into the Patient Access website you will first see the patient access login screen shown below:

















You must enter your user ID that is included in your letter in the top box and the password you have been provided in the second box. Once you have logged in for the first time you are able to change your password. Once logged in you will be taken to your home page which is shown below:



















Request Repeat Prescriptions

From your home page you are able to see your repeat medications and request any item on this list by clicking Make a request. Select the items that you need & click make request. Please allow 48 hours for processing. Please note, the message box in this section must only be used for prescription messages.

Book & Cancel Appointments

From your home page you will also be able to see your existing appointments. You can also click Book an appointment and select the type that you would like. You are able to filter available appointments by selecting a GP or nurse in the pick a person box and/or selecting whether you wish to see a male or female clinician in the pick a clinician gender and then clicking view. Select your preferred appointment, enter a reason & then click book. You are advised to read the guidance sent out in the post with your registration confirmation before using this service.

Update Your Contact Details

You are also able to update your personal details. Click on Update your details and then click edit. It is very important that you let us know when you change your name, address, phone number or e-mail so that we can contact you if we need to.


Patient Confidentiality

Login to the Patient Access site is secure to protect confidentiality. Please keep your login details safe and do not allow anyone else to use your login. Remember to log out when you have finished. The Rycote Practice reserves the right to withdraw access to this service if it is abused or subject to inappropriate use.




Book appointments and order repeat medication wherever you are

Mobile apps are now available so you that you can use Patient Access on your phone or tablet. Links to download apps for Apple and Android devices are provided below and are also available from the Patient Access login screen.
