Extra GP services on weekends and bank holidays

 

On weekends and bank holidays from Saturday 17 December 2022 until Sunday 8 January 2023, 8am to 8pm, you can call 0333 332 6570 and selection option 5 (Wandsworth Registered GP) if you need urgent help for a non-life-threatening condition.

Wandsworth GPs will be providing extra appointments on weekends and bank holidays from Saturday 17 December 2022 until Sunday 8 January 2023. When you call the number, you will be assessed by a clinician and offered a suitable appointment or advice if required. This may be a remote or face to face appointment. 

Outside of these hours please call 111.

 Don’t forget that you can also go to your local pharmacy for non-urgent health advice. 

Please only call 999 if you believe there is a life-threatening emergency

Patient Online Triage Service

We are here to help!

We have now gone live with our new online consultation service-Patient Triage. This is a great way for you to contact our practice for non-urgent medical or admin requests. It is very simple to fill out so please do give it a go if you need to contact us. Although the character count is limited on the form, please try to give as much specific and concise information as possible. We really think it is easier for most people than waiting on hold to speak to a receptionist but would love to hear your feedback. If you do not have access to the internet or find it difficult to use a computer or smartphone you can call reception instead.

GETUBETTER App

The getUBetter app is provided free of charge by BNSSG CCG for patients registered at 168 Medical. It can be accessed on a Smartphone or on the Web and guides you day-by-day through a sequence of exercises and tips to help you get better from a range of new or recurrent musculoskeletal conditions:

  • Lower back pain
  • Back and leg pain
  • Neck Pain
  • Shoulder Pain
  • Ankle Pain
  • Knee Pain
  • Soft Tissue Lower Limb

You will be referred to the App by one of our GPs or Physio, or you can self-register by clicking on this link or the App image Please use an email address that is unique to you and select the condition you need help to manage. You will then be sent an email with all the information you need to get started.

You can download the getUBetter App to your Smartphone for easiest access or use the Webapp If you develop another condition register again with the same email address, select your new condition and it will be added to your account.

The app will also connect you to your local; treatment, healthcare providers or support services if needed like Physiotherapy.

WANTED - Patient and Carer Representatives for the Respiratory Clinical Reference Group

If you suffer from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease you will know how important it is to get the right treatment at the right time. The Respiratory Clinical Reference Group (RCRG) is working hard to ensure services are designed to best meet your needs, and your experiences as a patient with COPD are valuable to this work. The RCRG would like input from patients and carers to ensure the pathway will work and help to improve COPD care in Wandsworth. Participation will be through an email distribution group, but you are also welcome to come along to meetings if you wish.
