FLU Vaccination Shortage - over 65's
Unfortunately due to a national shortage the Flu vaccination is temporarily unavailable. The supplies are being managed by NHS England and is beyond our control. We are due to have more in stock at the beginning of November and are contacting patients. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
We have plenty of vaccinations for under 65 at risk patients, please contact the surgery to book an appointment.
Many more GP appointments now available in Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley
We are delighted to announce that from 1 October 2018, you can book to be seen by a GP, nurse and other health professionals until 8pm Monday to Friday, and at weekends and bank holidays.
This is part of a national drive to improve access to GP services and give people the opportunity to see health professionals at a time that suits them.
The appointments won’t always be at this surgery, but your notes will be available to the GP, nurse or other health professional, providing you give your consent.
To find out more, and book one of these appointments, please contact us and speak to the receptionist, who will help you see the right person for your needs.
We will offer the new appointments routinely but please tell us if you particularly need a Saturday, Sunday or evening slot. We will also tell you where the appointment will be
Please ring NHS 111 as usual if you need medical assistance when we are closed and it cannot wait until we reopen.
Find out more about how we are improving access for you (hyper link to CCG website).
Change of procedure
If you require travel vaccinations please ask reception for a travel form and make an appointment to see the Nurse.
The form will need to be completed and brought with you to your appointment for the Nurse to be able to carry out the vaccination.
* We ask that you book your appointment 6-8 weeks prior to travelling. If you are travelling before this time frame then you will need to go to a Travel Clinic.

Who can have the shingles vaccination?
You are eligible for the shingles vaccine if you are aged 70 or 78 years old.
In addition, anyone who was eligible for immunisation in the previous three years of the programme but missed out on their shingles vaccination remains eligible until their 80th birthday. This includes:
- people in their 70s who were born after 1 September 1942
- people aged 79 years
The shingles vaccine is not available on the NHS if you are aged 80 or over.
You can have the shingles vaccination at any time of year, though many people will find it convenient to have it at the same time as their annual flu vaccination.
Find out more about who is eligible for shingles vaccination.
How do I get the shingles vaccine?
Once you become eligible for shingles vaccination your doctor will take the opportunity to vaccinate you when you attend the surgery for general reasons or for your annual flu vaccination.
If you are worried that you may miss out on the shingles vaccination, contact your GP surgery to arrange an appointment to have the vaccine.
