We have upgraded our phone system

We are pleased to inform you that we have just upgraded the practice telephone system.  Our new system now has more lines coming in and also more outgoing lines, which is of help to our clinicians carrying out telephone consultations.

Our new system also has a message facility with a menu option to help you to get to the right department without everyone needing to wait to speak to a Receptionist first.  It takes a moment to listen to all the options but hopefully as we are directing calls on to the right person it will save time as well as get you to who you do need to speak to.

The system also gives place in the call queue if you are waiting for the Reception staff to help you.  This facility allows our patients to hang up but keep their place in the queue and as patient reaches the front of the queue our system will call them back and connect their phone call straight to a Receptionist. The new system also allows recording of all outgoing and incoming phone calls and store all telephone conversations for training and monitoring purposes.

Your GP practice – here for you

If you need medical help for an ongoing condition, or if you are unwell and having symptoms of something new, please don’t put things off - get in touch with us. You can call us on our usual surgery number 01462 624000 or use the eConsult form –SEE HOME PAGE.

We can set up an appointment with a GP or nurse over the phone, or if we need to see you face to face, please be reassured that we can care for you safely.  Special arrangements have been made to ensure you will be treated completely separately from patients with suspected coronavirus symptoms.

We can also still help with repeat prescriptions. Let us know us know in good time before your medicine runs out and we can arrange for a local pharmacist to prepare your next supply. If you need help picking medicines up, there are local volunteers able to assist. Call Herts Help on 0300 123 4044 or the national NHS volunteer scheme on 0808 196 3646.

We are working differently but our dedicated staff are still able to help you.
