Consultations with GPs, the practice nurse and our health care assistant are by appointment only.
Morning GP appointments are by open access. We ask people to come to the practice before 11.15am and write their name down to be seen. If there is some time to wait, we will give you a guide time for your appointment, and you do not have to wait on the premises until this time.
If you have children under 12, or are yourself aged over 70, you can request a morning appointment by telephone instead of coming in person.
Afternoon appointments are pre-booked only and can be made by telephone, in person or online. We are encouraging patients to use the online facilities - if you do not have access to these please call into the surgery and we can give you the information you need to access this.
Occasionally it is possible to give definitive advice for a medical problem without physically examining what is wrong. If you think this might answer your need, the receptionist will ask either our Nurse Prescriber or the GP to ring you back. Please make sure your mobile phone is accessible.
Very few people registered at this practice do not attend appointments they have previously made. If you no longer need an appointment please let us know so that we can give it to somebody else. If you have booked this on line you will be able to cancel it on line also.
Very few people ask for or need a chaperone at their appointments. But if you would like to have someone with you from our team to make you feel more comfortable and assured during your consultation please ask and we will gladly assist and be there with you. All our staff have received the appropriate training to enable us all to act as your chaperone.
