Home Visits

Doctor's bagIf you think it is an emergency such as chest pain, severe difficulty in breathing or excessive bleeding/collapse you must call 999 at all times.

We are able to provide a much better quality of care at the surgery than in your own home. Doctors can see about 5 patients in the surgery in the same time it takes to visit one patient at home. Besides the medical facilities and computer records available within the surgery make good care easier than
at home.

Home visits are therefore intended for patients who are too ill to attend surgery and those who are completely housebound.

If a home visit is required, please request this before 10:30 a.m. whenever possible, so that your doctor is then able to plan his/her calls.
