Care Quality Commission

cqcThe Care Quality Commission (CQC) are the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England.

The CQC make sure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and encourage them to improve.

They monitor, inspect and regulate services to make sure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety and publish what is found, including performance ratings to help people choose care.

We had our first inspection in November 2014 and we are very pleased that our service has been rated as ‘Good’.  The full report is attached for reference.  CQC Visit Report 2014

The overall rating is attached: CQC Report

Our next inspection annual telephone review is on 15th April 2019 with a full inspection every 5 years.

All GP or a primary medical services are published on their  website ( and shows:

  • the latest report on whether national standards are being met
  • how to help by sharing your experience or reporting a concern

The website contains materials to show patients the standards which should be expected from their GP practice and how to contact CQC with views and experiences of care (good and bad).

We urge you to express your views of our service on the website.
