Friends and Family Test

Your views are important to us!  Please let us have your feedback on the service we provide to you.

From December 2014 patients will be given the opportunity to provide anonymous feedback on whether they would recommend their GP practice to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment.  It is an important opportunity for patients to provide feedback on the care and treatment they receive and to help improve services.

We would like to hear your views.  Please go to our home page and click on the icon at the bottom of the page in order to complete this short survey.

This feedback can also be done at the practice.  Please ask at reception.

Thank you.

Diagnosis of Dementia Enhanced Service

After careful consideration the Vale Practice has decided not to take part in the Diagnosing Dementia Direct Enhanced Service that drew much media attention recently. The scheme was criticised by both doctors and the public for seeming to incentivise doctors to make a diagnosis of dementia. Please be assured we will continue to support and investigate anyone who may be concerned about memory problems and offer all the support available for those with a diagnosis of dementia.

We are very lucky to have a class on site at the Vale Practice.  Exercise improves mood and wellbeing following cancer. We are pleased to be able to offer this to our patients and any patient who lives locally, even if not registered at the Vale Practice. People may feel under-confident about how to restart or even start exercise after their diagnosis. This class is designed to suit all ages and ability. If you have not been someone who has exercised before, even more important to join this class. It is run by Lizzie Davis who trained as a nurse with a special interest in cancer and now has become a personal trainer working with cancer patients. The class focuses on improving range of movement, flexibility, balance and low-impact aerobic exercise performed to music.
