PALMS
From w/c Monday 31st October, the practice will have a Mental Health Specialist join us every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning. This is a new, exciting, service which has been developed to assist patients who are facing challenges with their mental health. This service is available to patients aged 16 and over (16/17 year olds currently at school will be provided with a GP appointment).
The benefit of this service is patients will be provided with a longer appointment time to discuss their mental health challenges with a practitioner who specialises in mental health. This also assists the practice with increased GP appointment capacity as patients who may have been booked an appointment to see a GP will now be directed to this new service if they meet the criteria set out by NHS Tayside.
We hope patients will find this new service beneficial to them if they are signposted by our practice team when seeking an appointment regarding any mental health challenges.
