These clinicians work alongside and on behalf of Tile House Surgery, assisting our Doctors and Nurses.
We have a Physician Associate, a Paramedic, Pharmacists, an Orthopaedic Practitioner, Mental Health Practitioners and non-clinical Social Prescribers who are all available to speak to patients.
Please discuss these options with Reception when booking an appointment. You may be directed to an appointment with one of these clinicians rather than with a GP when appropriate.
Social Prescribing
They focus on non-medical and non-urgent support for those that require emotional and social help, such as:
- Benefits Entitlements (Filling forms such as PIP)
- Finding Suitable Social Groups
- Referral to Social Services (E.g. Care Assessment)
- Home Adaptations for those in need
- Alcohol / Drug related support
First Contact Physiotherapist / Orthopaedic Practitioner
We have a practitioner working at the surgery every week.
They can see you for issues such as:
- Ligament sprains and strains (e.g., ankle sprain)
- Osteoarthritis of any joint
- Pain in the ankle, knee, hip, shoulders, elbows or wrist/hand.
- Tendinopathies (e.g., Achilles tendon)
Clinical Pharmacists
We have Pharmacists working at the surgery who can give advice to patients on medication availability issues, advice on medication side effects and many other issues - you may well receive a call from them to review your chronic condition and the medication you are taking.
We also have Pharmacists from Core Prescribing working on behalf of Tile House Surgery. They may contact you regarding your medication and to carry out a medication review.
They may call out of Surgery opening hours as they operate
Mon - Fri 9am - 8.30pm
Saturday 9am - 5.30pm
