Welcome to The Long Melford Practice
We are a partnership of four Doctors. We work from two modern purpose-built premises at Long Melford and Lavenham. We are pleased to also have four additional GPs on our staff.
Our Doctors are supported by a Nurse Practitioner who will see the majority of our patients requesting an urgent appointment. Our clinical team also includes three Practice Nurses and two Health Care Assistants.
Our Practice Manager, Nicola Whitehead welcomes your comments and suggestions and will be happy to assist with any enquiries or problems.

The service is staffed by local Suffolk GPs and Nurse Practitioners Bury St Edmunds and Haverhill and is an NHS service delivered by the Suffolk GP Federation.
You will be given a booked appointment and will be seen by a suitable local GP or nurse who will have access to your medical records (once consent is given).
If you require urgent medical advise when the practice is closed please dial 111.

Under the terms of the current GP contract GP practices are required to provide all patients with a named GP.
As one of our patients you have been allocated a named GP who will have overall responsibility for the care and support our surgery provides to you. You will be informed of your named GP at the ealriest appropriate opportunity.
This does not prevent you from seeing any other GP.
Your named GP will not be available at all times and if you have urgent needs you may need to see an alternative doctor.
