Welcome to The Christmas Maltings and Clements Practice. 

Our wide range of services are delivered from our three surgeries which are all equipped to the same clinical standard.

Our practice offers car parking, disabled access and induction loops at all sites.

The practice Dispensary is located at our Christmas Maltings site.

For the next 5 weeks ( commencing 31.7.17 - 28.8.17 ) the Dispensary opening times will be:

Monday - Wednesday: 08.30am-6.00pm
Thursday & Friday: 1.30pm-5.00pm


New Telephone Appointment System

Christmas Maltings and Clements surgery offers a telephone appointment system led by Doctors. The telephone appointment service can be used for urgent and non-urgent health problems and works as follows:

8am to 11am – If you have explored other options and still feel that you need medical advice call us on the main surgery number - 01440 840380

  • The receptionist will ask you for your details. If you need to speak to the Doctor urgently because it's a genuine medical emergency, please tell the receptionist immediately.
  • The receptionist will ask you what prompted your call today to enable her to direct you to the most appropriate person which may NOT be a Doctor. 
  • If you are put on the call back list, the GP will expect you to have resourced and tried other areas first.  If your clinician thinks you need to be seen, he/she will make an appointment for you.

The clinician will attempt to ring the patient back on 2 occasions.  If they are unable to make contact it is the responsibility of the patient to call back and request to go on the list again if they have not been called after 2 hours.

On-line access - Appointments are available to book on-line with your usual GP.  If you are not already registered for on-line access, please speak to a member of our reception team.  Photo ID is required.

Routine bookable appointments are available with our Nursing, Health Care Assistant and Physiotherapist Team. The receptionist will be able to guide you to the most appropriate clinician. 

For all non-appointment queries/requests please telephone after 11 am.

Please note that requests for sick notes will not be dealt with on Monday and Fridays.  Sick notes cannot be issued in advance but can be issued in arrears.

If you have a query regarding medication, unless urgent, can you please telephone after 11am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Dental problems – please be advised that Gps are unable to treat patients with dental related problems.


Minor Injury Service

This service is provided at both the Christmas Maltings Surgery and the Clements Surgery.

Monday - Friday                  08:00 - 18:30

Please note, to access Online Services below you must have registered for SystmOnline by coming to the surgery and requesting an Online Services pack.
