Rainworth Surgery to join Sherwood Medical Partnership
In May 2015 Rainworth Surgery will be joining Sherwood Medical Partnership. This leaflet explains why we think this is the right thing to do - Rainworth Surgery joining SMP.pdf
We've been able to secure some additional funding which means we will have more GP appointments available every Saturday morning from December through to March. We'll have an additional two GPs working most weeks, on top of our normal extended hours. These appointments are available to all patients at either location as ususal.

A New Medical Centre for Clipstone and Forest Town
Our existing health centre has served us well but we are now chronically short of space and require a new, purpose-built medical centre from which we can best serve the needs of our patients.
Work has now started on site and should be completed by September 2015.
To find out more information about the project you can go here.
You can now have your prescriptions sent electronically to a pharmacy of your choice. You don't need to come to the practice to collect your repeat prescription, saving you lots of time. Your prescription will be ready for collection in 48 hours, your prescription will be sent directly to your nominated pharmacy. Please allow 24 hours for the pharmacy to process the request. If you want to sign up just ask your pharmacist or ask a member of staff. For more details click here
GP2GP Electronic Transfer of Medical Records
GP2GP Electronic Transfer of Medical Records is the transfer of all patient records between practices, when a patient registers or de-registers (not including temporary registration). Sherwood Medical Partnership is currently using the GP2GP facility practices who use the same clinical system (SystmOne). We intend, working with our NHS Information Service, to ensure that we are able to transfer records electronically between all clinical systems and practices. The implementation and team training for this is scheduled for 1st and 3rd of December 2014.
Summary Care Record Viewer
SCR Viewer is a new function within the NHS that enables access to the Summary Care Record of a temporary registered patient. Permission must be gained from the patient before a clinician is able to access SCR, although is circumstances where permission in unattainable, e.g. a patient is unconscious or confused then emergency access can be granted. Patients can opt out at any time and they can also opt back in at any time. The implementation and team training for this is scheduled for 9th December 2014.
To register you need to sign up at reception with photo ID (let us know if you haven't got photo ID and there are other forms of ID we can accept). When you've done that, click on the "systmonline" logo above to go to the website and follow the instructions from there.
On this website you can book and cancel appointments, order repeat prescriptions and access further options.
NEW - you can now download a free SystmOnline App for your iPhone, iPad or Android phone.
