Important Patient Information - Dr J Thomas
Dear Patients Registered with Dr Thomas,
Regretfully I am writing to inform you that I am retiring from General Practice with effect from 11th November 2016.
This has been a very difficult decision for me having worked in a profession that I have loved and I have felt immensely privileged to work amongst the community served by The Deepings Practice.
I was intending to retire in the near future but I had expected to have the opportunity to inform many of you of this personally, when appropriate, during a routine consultation setting. Please accept my apology that due to unforeseen circumstances this has not been possible.
Many of you are aware that I had an accident in early July which caused a significant Head Injury. Fortunately I continue to make good progress but for the benefit of all concerned it is not appropriate for me to return to work prior to my official retirement date.
I send my best wishes and I know that you will be well looked after by my colleagues. I would also like to thank everyone again for the kindness and thoughts expressed to me over the last few weeks.
Dr Judith Thomas
Reason for Appointment
When making your appointment you may find that the receptionist will ask you for a brief reason for your appointment.
This is so that your appointment is booked appropriately.
Some conditions or problems need longer than others and some conditions or problems are dealt with by specific clinicians.
This is particularly important when making an appointment to see the practice nurse, phlebotomist and nurse practitioner.
You can give personal as your appointment reason but please bear in mind that we ask for a reason to help you get the best care from your clinician.
All staff are bound by the confidentiality act, including receptionists.
Treatment Room Waiting Area Closure
Due to on-going building works within the treatment room waiting area, we will be closing this area to patients with effect from Thursday 29th September.
This is in the best interests of patient health and safety.
For the duration of the building work, patients will be directed to sit in the main waiting room. All appointments for the treatment rooms will be displayed on the main waiting room TVs.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.
