Chronic Disease Management Clinics
Patients with chronic diseases should attend regular clinics to ensure that the Practice is doing all it can to provide the required care. These appointments can involve samples being taken or tests being performed in the surgery. Some of the chronic disease management clinics the practice offers are listed below, with more detail provided on the clinics page.
- Heart Disease
- Mental Health
- Learning Disability
Used to help identify and treat illnesses and diseases, or as part of a chronic disease management clinic, our skilled staff are able to perform certain tests during your appointment and/or collect samples for later testing in a lab. Results can be obtained by contacting the surgery, or more conveniently by using our online service.
Each of our surgeries has at least one appropriately outfitted treatment or minor surgery room and the qualified clinicians to staff it for performing minor medical procedures such as Cryotherapy, Excisions, Incisions, Injections into joints and aspiration of joints.
Vaccinations and Immunisations
The practice offers vaccinations and immunisations to both children and adults for illnesses such as Diptheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Polio, Meningococcal, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Pneumococcal, Shingles and Seasonal Influenza.
The practice also offers a travel vaccination service to those heading abroad.
Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:
- Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
- Insurance claim forms
- Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
- Private sick notes
- Vaccination certificates
The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.
