Patient Online Services – Statement of Intent

Contractual IT Requirement.

The Mendip Country Practice offers the following online services.

Electronic appointment booking.

The facility to book, view, amend, cancel and print appointments is available online.

Patient online access to view their GP medical record

The facility for eligible patients to view their detailed coded record including medications, allergies, adverse reactions and vaccinations is enabled.

Online booking of prescriptions.

The facility for viewing, ordering and printing a list of repeat prescriptions is available online.

Summary Care Record

The core Summary Care Record containing medications, allergies and adverse reactions is enabled to be automatically uploaded. (This is available for records of patients who have opted into this service).   

GP 2 GP record transfers

The practice transfers medical notes electronically via the GP 2 GP facility when a patient registers or un-registers.

At Mendip Country Practice we will actively publicise and promote our online services to our patients through the practice website, practice waiting rooms (posters & TV screen) and the Patient Participation Group.

Sign up to the Patient Access online service.  NB:  Dispensing patients - Once signed into the Patient Access portal, please do not complete the Preferred Pharmacy box (completing this will prevent us being able to dispense your medication).
