Clinics & Services

Our Practice Nurse and Healthcare Assistant are available for dressings, removal of sutures, health checks, blood investigations, advice on diet, foreign travel and routine child immunisations and cervical smears. They also run a variety of health promotion clinics.

Anti-coagulation / Warfarin Clinic

Our Practice Nurse runs an anti-coagulation clinic on Wednesday mornings for Warfarin patients.

Development Checks

6 week check – Doctor (30 min appointment).  Please ensure this is booked as far in advance as possible.

8 month check – Health Visitor

Immunisations & Vaccinations

These are carried out by the Practice Nurse. It is important that children are up to date with all immunisations against childhood diseases.

Adults should also ensure they are up to date with tetanus and polio.

Cervical Smear Tests

These are carried out by our Practice Nurse. Patients are invited by letter when the test is due. Cervical smears are recommended every 3 years, then every 5 years when over 50.

Minor Operations

The doctors are accredited by the Primary Care Trust to carry out certain minor surgical procedures at their discretion.
