Flu Clinics

Update 15 Oct: We will now be running a limited walk-in clinic on 20 October.  We will run a further walk-in clinic 17 November.

Update: Owing to a temporary shortage of vaccines for our over 65s there will be no walk-in clinic on 20 October, however there will still be some booked appointments.  We will run a further walk-in clinic 17 November (date subject to change!).

We are ready to protect you from flu again this winter.  Call 01628 776900 to make an appointment at another time.  You can also book via the myGP app.

To be eligible for a vaccine you must be aged 65 and over, OR have a long term condition eg diabetes, asthma, heart disease etc, or be pregnant or a carer.  If you've had the vaccination before you are almost certainly eligible this year.

Travel Vaccinationsglobal air travel

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.

It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment may be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines may have to be ordered as they are not always stock vaccines.

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
